Use of Logo

GENERAL

 

  1. Only UKASL may use the relevant UKASL symbol on stationery, reports & certificates, websites & brochures, & other items relevant to UKASL’ accreditation activities, subject to the conditions set out in this publication.
  2. Only UKASL & UKASL accredited CABs may use the relevant UKASL symbol on stationery, quotations, reports & certificates, websites & brochures, & other items relevant to the accredited body’s accredited activity, subject to the terms and conditions set forth.
  3. The UKASL symbolshall not be used in any way implying that UKASL accepts responsibility for activities carried out under the scope of accreditation &/or certification.
  4. It is the responsibility of every UKASL accredited CABs to minimize the risk of a client being misled as to the limitations of UKASL accreditation, whether it is in relation to quotations, work being undertaken or the results being reported.
  5. Reports & certificates issued by accredited CABs that contain results & outcomes from accredited activities & non-accredited &/or subcontracted activities shall readily distinguish the activities that are covered by the body’s accreditation & those that aren’t.
  6. All quotations for work containing the UKASL Symbol shall clearly indicate the activities that aren’t accredited by UKASL.
  7. UKASL Symbol for certification activities shall not be used on reports & certificates issued by Laboratories, Inspection CABs, Proficiency Testing Providers, Reference Material Producers, verification CABs or Medical Diagnostic Service Providers.

PUBLICITY MATERIALS

 

  1. UKASL accredited CABs are entitled to incorporate the appropriate UKASL Symbol in publicity material that refers to accredited services, provided that the conditions relating to their reproduction contained in this publication are met.
  2. The term ‘publicity material’ shall not include notices, labels, documents or written announcements appearing on either goods or services unless the goods or services have been manufactured under the CABs accredited scope. This restriction shall also apply to primary packaging & promotional products.
  3. These restrictions may be extended to other items, goods or services as the UKASL may determine from time to time.
  4. The UKASL Logo & UKASL Symbolshall not be displayed by UKASL accredited CABs on any vehicle.
  5. The UKASL Logo & UKASL Symbol shall not be displayed on buildings & flags.
  6. UKASL accredited CABs may display UKASL Logo on internal walls & doors, & on exhibition stalls.

SUSPENSION & TERMINATION OF UKASL ACCREDITATION

  1. Upon termination of relevant UKASL accreditation, accredited CABs shall be immediately ceased to issue certificates, reports & quotations for work displaying a UKASL Logo& this shall include the removal of UKASL Logo showed on their websites.
  2. Upon suspension ofUKASL accreditation, accredited CABs shall immediately cease distribution of all items on which the UKASL Logo is displayed & this includes the removal of UKASL Logo showed on their websites.
  3. In the event that accreditation is withdrawn from an UKASL accredited body in respect of a scheme whereby the body owns & licenses its own mark/logo, the body shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that its licensees immediately cease use of stationery, literature, advertisements (including web pages), goods, labelling & packaging bearing the UKASL Logo.
  4. UKASL logo can be use only when the client’s SCOPE is covered under UKASL accreditation.
  5. The UKASL logo shall not be used in any way that it misleads the reader about the accredited status of the certification body or the certified body.
  6. The UKASL logo shall not be displayed on vehicles except in publicity material like part of a large advertisement.
  7. The UKASL logo shall not be displayed on buildings & flags.
  8. The UKASL logo shall not be used on the visiting cards
  9. The UKASL logos can be reproduced in any size whatsoever, as long as they do not distort or alter the aspect ratio or the relative proportions of the logo
